Psychology Tools for Writers, Directors and Actors
a four-day intensive course in Crete
Identity
The Key Dramatic Question
In this unique intensive course, BAFTA-nominated director, screenwriter, and therapist Liviu Tipurita deconstructs the crucial dramatic question of character identity in documentary, fiction, and psychology. He illustrates his analysis through case studies from his own work and wider cinema.
He introduces a model of the human mind based on hypnosis, NLP, and neuroscience, offering practical psychology tools that can be used by directors, writers, and actors to create compelling characters and tell engaging stories.
This original course is created and taught by Liviu, who has extensive practical knowledge in writing, directing, acting, and psychology.
The course includes practical exercises, psychological tests, and discussions of psychological experiments and principles. It introduces the essential building blocks of creating an identity. It explores concepts such as emotions, beliefs, values, homeostasis, decisions, meaning, rapport, motivation, conflict, and change - the elements that reveal the key dynamics between the conscious and unconscious mind in the pyramid of identity.
